皆さん、お久しぶりです。Minです。
It’s been a while, everyone. This is Min.
ただいま、韓国はソルナル(旧正月)による連休中です。
Korea is currently in the midst of the Lunar New Year holidays.
ソルナルには、家族がみんな集まって、日本がお正月にお雑煮を食べることのようにトックック(떡국)というお餅が入った汁、チョン(전)などなどたくさんの料理を作ってみんなで一緒に食べます。
On Seollal, all the family members get together and make various dishes, such as Tteokguk (떡국), a soup containing rice balls, and Jeon (전), and eat them together, just like Japanese people eat Ozoni on New Year’s Day.
そして、家の大人の方々に「セベ(세배)」という新年のあいさつをして、セベッドン(세뱃돈-お年玉)をもらいます。
Then, they greet the adults in the house with a New Year’s greeting called “sebae” (세배) and receive a sebedong (세뱃돈 – New Year’s gift).
因みに、セベ(세배)をするときの挨拶の言葉は「セヘボクマニバドゥセヨ(새해 복 많이 받으세요 新年、沢山の幸運が訪れますように)」と言います。
Btw, the greeting phrase for sebae (세배) is “saehae bog man-i badeuseyo (새해 복 많이 받으세요) – May the New Year bring you lots of good luck.
普通に、「明けましておめでとうございます」のように、年が明けた時の言葉として使う言葉になります。
It is usually used as a word to mark the beginning of the year, like “Happy New Year”.
家族ととても賑やかにワイワイして楽しい時期ですが、おいしいものをいっぱい食べて太ってしまう時期にもなります笑
It’s a fun time of year to be very lively with your family, but it’s also a time to eat lots of delicious food and get fat kek.
もう、2月になってますが、幸運が訪れます様にという新年の言葉のように、皆様にたくさんの素敵なことがありますことを心より願っております。
It’s already February, and like the New Year’s greeting, “May good fortune come to you,” I sincerely hope that many wonderful things will happen to you.
