Shah Alam, The Capital City of Selangor State!

I am currently living in Shah Alam city for the past 10 years, so today let me introduce a bit about this nice city to you.
Shah Alam is really a great living area for me as it’s a mixture of a hectic urban city but still full of nature surprise.
In a simple words, you can have a perfectly balanced lifestyle here… working like crazy during weekdays and enjoy relaxing moments nearby the wonderful lake at the end of the day or weekends.
Historically, Shah Alam was declared as the capital city of Selangor state since 1978, as a new administrative center of Selangor, replacing Kuala Lumpur was made a Federal Territory on 1 Feb 1974. What? Really? Kuala Lumpur previously was the capital city of Selangor? Yessza!
And Shah Alam was ‘the first planned city in Malaysia after independence in 1957.
Let me share with you a few must-visit tourist spots in Shah Alam,
The first one is Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque.. well known as the largest mosque in Malaysia and the second largest mosque in South East Asia. You may lost your friend if you enter this mosque..hihi..just kidding guys.. don’t forget to visit this mosque ya.. its really peaceful once you enter this mosque..
Another spot is Shah Alam Stadium.. opened in July 1994, known as one of the largest football in Southeast Asia which can occupy a capacity of 80,372 crowds at one certain time. The stadium is the home stadium for football club Selangor FA.
I City, the newest commercial center developed in Shah Alam since 2009. You surely will fall In love with wonderful night view of this I City Park. I City consists of corporate office tower, hotels, residential, shop offices, theme park and shopping mall.
There are few more interesting locations to visit such as Shah Alam Royal Theater, Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam, Botani Park Bukit Cerakah, Skytrex and Extreme Park Shah Alam, Wet World Theme Park, Galeri Shah Alam and a lot more. I will introduce them in my next session ya.
