Hi everyone~! With best New Year’s wishes.
皆さんあけましておめでとうございます！今年もよろしくお願いします。
This is the Japanese greeting style on New Year’s Day. It is an important day for us and we have many events and customs to celebrate.
日本では、年が変わって最初に会ったとき、このように挨拶します。1年の始まりをとても大事にしています。
「あけまして」は、昨年が終わり、今年が始まった、という意味です。厳密には、1月1日の朝、太陽が昇ったときがその年の始まりです。夜が明けて、朝になって、新しい年を無事に迎えられたことの喜びを分かち合う挨拶です。
I spent this day to climb up the mountain and to see the first sunrise of the year. We call it “Hatsu-hinode”.
1月1日の朝、太陽が昇ることを「初日の出」といいます。わたしは今年の初日の出を、山の上で迎えました。
It was amazing to see the Mt.Fuji floating in the sea of clouds at sunrise.
朝焼けの雲海に浮かぶ富士山がとてもきれいでした！
Now is just the moment of sunrise.
日の出の瞬間です。
真っ赤に染まった空と雲海のはざまにピカッと太陽が光る瞬間は、いつ見ても感動します。
It was a precious experience, cause there are not so many places to see the sunrise and Mt. Fuji at the same time.
日の出と富士山を並べて見れる場所はなかなかないので、とてもいい体験でした。

山の上からだと、こんな写真も取れます。
山小屋でも、お正月は特別な料理を出してくれます。
This is Japanese New Year cuisine; “Osechi” and “Ozouni”.
これはおせち料理とお雑煮。この丸いお箸も、お正月の特別なお箸です。
We went to the shrine to make wishes for the coming year. This event is called “hatsu-moude”.
お正月には、初詣という習慣もあります。年の初めにお寺や神社に詣でて、その年の成功や幸福を願います。わたしは、初詣も山の上のお寺と神社に行きました。神奈川県の大山という山には、お寺と神社両方あります。

長い階段の先に・・
There is a shrine torii. It can be reached by cable car, but I climbed on my own.
神社の下社があります。お寺も神社も山の中腹にあり、ケーブルカーでも登れます。わたしは自分の足で登りましたよ。
下社から、さらにさらに山を登ります。
We’ve got excited every time we see Mt.Fuji.
途中、富士山がよく見える場所もあります。日本人は富士山が見えると大喜びして写真を撮ります(笑)
いよいよ、この先が山頂で、神社の上社があります。こっちが本物の神社です。
Everyone who goes to the summit is a climber style. We have been believing that there is a benefit since it is tough to climb to the place.
山頂まで行く人はみんな登山者のスタイルですね。誰でも行ける場所ではないからこそ、ご利益があると考えられ、昔の人も頑張って上ったそうです。
山頂の神社で、世界の平和とOOH業界の発展を願いました！
