Grand Green Osaka: Where Nature Meets the City

Hey there!
Looking for a spot where you can relax, shop, enjoy delicious food, and soak up some inspiring art and greenery—all in one place?
Let me introduce you to my latest favorite place in Osaka: Grand Green Osaka.
It’s a vibrant new hub that beautifully blends city life with nature.
Rohto Heart Square Umekita(ロートハートスクエアうめきた)

Located right in front of JR Osaka Station, Rohto Heart Square serves as the symbolic center of Umekita Park. Spanning approximately 45,000 square meters, this vast open space hosts a variety of seasonal events year-round. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy activities in their own unique style, from outdoor yoga to art fairs and food market.
Hirameki-no-Michi(ひらめきの道)

Connecting the north and south ends of Grand Green Osaka is the Hirameki-no-Michi, a pedestrian deck designed to offer sweeping views of the park’s ever-changing seasonal landscapes.
Grand Green Osaka also features eye-catching advertising spaces!
These ad zones are an excellent opportunity for brands to connect with an urban, trend-sensitive audience in a fresh, stylish setting.
VS. by Tadao Ando

Designed by the world-renowned architect Tadao Ando, VS. is a cutting-edge cultural venue that opened in September 2024.
Spanning roughly 1,400 square meters and housing a massive 15-meter-high immersive video space, VS. showcases a wide range of artistic disciplines—from visual and performing arts to large-scale installations.
Currently, the exhibition “Tadao Ando: Youth(安藤忠雄展:青春)” is on view, featuring works like a life-size replica of the iconic Church on the Water (on display until July 21, 2025).
Dreamlike Encounter – RAM KATZIR’s Sculpture

Right outside VS., you’ll find a whimsical sculpture titled YUMEMITAI, created by Israeli artist Ram Katzir. The title means “I want to dream” in Japanese, symbolizing the meeting point between imagination and reality. It’s a gentle, thought-provoking piece that adds a poetic layer to the landscape.
Hope you enjoyed this little tour of Grand Green Osaka!
Whether you’re a local or just visiting, it’s a great spot to relax, explore, and get inspired.
Let me know if you’ve been—or want to check it out!
See you next time!
