Mitsui Shopping Park Lalaport’s BBCC Kuala Lumpur, The First Lalaport Mall Open in Southeast Asia!

Hi everyone! Peace be upon You and Konichiwaaa everyone~ meet you again here.

Hope all readers in a good health and be happy always ya.

Now let’s dive in for today’s sharing.

Today i am planning to share with you my experience visiting one of the new Japanese shopping mall opened in Malaysia early this year. They have launched their soft opening ceremony on 20 Jan 2022.

I was there at the moment seeing such an interesting and memorable event. Sharing with you some photos during the soft opening event.

Firstly, let me introduce a bit about Lalaport BBCC and its historical place before being developed, which well known among Malaysian as Old Pudu Prison once upon ago.

Bukit Bintang City Center project actually sits on 19.4 acres of land where the now-demolished Pudu Jail was located. Only the main gate of the Pudu Jail has been preserved at the site. Here is the photo of the historical main gate of Pudu Jail, which was built since 1891, and completed on 1895. So historical place right?

Spanning over 78,500 sqm, it will be one of the largest LaLaport malls and the second of its kind located outside of Japan, after Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Shanghai Jinqia which opened in April 2021.

There will be 400 stores, including popular brands in Japan such as Nitori, Nojima, Don Don Donki. There is Nojima, a Japanese version of “digital and home appliance specialty store”, and Matcha Eight, a premium matcha ice cream store, the first premium Japanese tea ice cream in Malaysia, 100% natural Japanese tea ice cream made with the finest single-origin tea powder imported from Kyoto. Sounds great right?

But the store worth visiting the mall for is Nitori—a Japanese version of Ikea that offers many different items, including furniture that saves space and bedding with cooling technology. Super cool ya~

Besides the stores, LaLaport BBCC also has a wide-open rooftop area, a staff lounge for mall employees, and a spacious “Wow Plaza”—shaped like a big W. The plaza is right next to Gourmet Street, an outdoor mall area where you can find Matcha Eight, Yakiniku Sizzle, Starbucks and few more.

LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) features a ‘Central Rooftop Garden’ with a roofed step stage, surrounded by greenery, a perfect space for outdoor events or just to chill outside with some fresh air. You can even see soon to be the tallest tower in Malaysia, Merdeka 118 from here.

Also don’t forget to take photo on colorful Lalaport’s stairs.. it is really beautiful and outstanding in night view scene. You can walk down from the rooftop garden to ground floor through this colorful stairs.

Last but not least, there are also a lot advertisement spaces has been installed here such indoor giant hanging banner, giant billboard signage at gourmet street, flag lamp post banner, head entrance glass sticker and few more.

If you are looking for any media space in Lalaport Mall, you may contact us to check more information on that. Sharing with you some of the advertisement space photos.

I think that’s all for today.

Until we meet again for another sharing session with you ya.. wishing you great days ahead and please stay safe..

Bye!

Kesion Malaysia team.
