Helloooo~

Hope ya’all have a blessed Friday. I bet most of you guys can’t wait for the weekend to come.

Previously I had a chance to do Media Research for Kesion Malaysia and I tell you what. It is good once in a while for you to take fresh air outside of your office so you can improved your creativity and get a latest update of what’s happening now.

I know I know, we’ve been shocked by the Corona Virus. But I believe, with good care of your hygiene and face mask, we’ll be saved from it.

A Mini Theme park at MyTown

Now, take a guess where is this located?

It is MyTown and IKEA Cheras. Ya’ll probably asking why right?

I tell you why..

This is one of the reason.

These days its a trend for a Mall linking together for a cliche result which is crowd sharing.

Convenient

This also another good reason why they should visit this Mall. Oh yaa~

Before I forgot. Let me share some info about IKEA.

IKEA is a European multinational group that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories, among other useful goods and occasionally home services. Founded in Sweden in 1943 by 17-year-old Ingvar Kamprad, IKEA has been the world’s largest furniture retailer since 2008.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, as of January 2018, Kamprad was the eighth richest person in the world, with an estimated net worth of US$58.7 billion. The company’s name is an acronym that consists of the founder’s initials (Ingvar Kamprad) plus those of Elmtaryd, the family farm where he was born, and the nearby village Agunnaryd (his hometown in Småland, southern Sweden)

IKEA – Wikipedia

As soon as I’ve arrived MyTOWN, the first thing that catch my eyes is their CNY Decor.

I’ve always been a fan of Cultural Arts since high school. It led me closer to their history and beauty of the art.

Without wasting much time, I’ve decided to do a psychology research at IKEA.

Spotted a Wall Billboard at IKEA which is very captivating.

They even have their own digital screen near the Food Courts.

Now let me share with you guys what I’ve concluded in my mini research on why most of the customers including me myself tend to over shop at IKEA.

Obviously an Unique Showroom

The showroom itself is very unique which is wayyy much different from other store. It create such anticipation when you go through their showroom and actually make our brain take items into our cart.

Ikea’s stores also appeal to the subconscious mind, which is the primary driver of decision-making.

Their furniture is set up in its natural environment, which your subconscious brain appreciates. Every single thing there is contextually in position. The brain perceives it, understands its inherent value, and therefore we desires it. Now we know why we always purchased more than we planned when we go to IKEA.

They even do a very creative event space marketing so people are attracted to visit their store.

Oh btw, just to inform we also do Event Space Rental if you want.

If you want to know more about IKEA psychology, stay tuned for the next posting ya.

Thank you for your time.

See you guys soon~
