A Simple Life
This is Sung from Korea and I’ve just joined KESION as a new member of the team!
Unfortunately, I haven’t had a chance to meet and say hi to all our staff in person yet but I can’t wait to see and get to know them more, hopefully, next month or so, looking forward with excitement to what lies ahead of us and for KESION.
Many of us, including myself, are currently home-working, although we have already graduated from being homework-hater-students a long long time ago(wink*wink), our lifestyle has definitely changed in quite a lot of ways.
So at this point, I’d like to introduce a meaningful book called How to Live More With Less.
The author of this book, Dominique Loreau, is a French writer who worked as a teacher in England, America, and Japan. As living his life in Japan for so long, he was very much influenced by Zen Buddhism and Oriental Philosophy; he wrote several books about how to live a simple life, yet still filled with fullness, through the values he earned from the combination of Oriental aesthetics and Western lifestyle.
I would love to share a piece from the book calendar that I read every single morning as soon as I get up to start a fine new day;
A simple life
Not to possess more than what is needed
Owning too much makes it difficult to process
Home is not a storage space full of yet to be used items
Home is a living space where you take a breather, the origin of inspiration, an area of remedy
What is given to us is the time of each day
Be afraid of missing out on the present, not the future
Eating light and being light is the wisdom as well as the philosophy
Creating a healthy body is like creating an artwork
Capable of making no excuses, smiling and declining
Be the light for yourself with the help of self-reliance
Let go of possessions and get rid of an obsession and attachment
Then it will bring detachment in you
May your days be filled with More with Less,
